- How do I measure the ratios?
| Q. Who are the engine manufacturers? |
|---|
|
We use four main engine manufacturers, Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Suzuki and Honda. Other engines are manufactured within the Husqvarna group i.e. McCulloch, Poulan, Weedeater etc (all 2 stroke). |
| Q. Why doesn't the warranty cover the engine? |
|---|
We cover all engine warranty except Briggs & Stratton and Tecumseh. They have there own warranty procedures, so we would refer you to the engine manufacturer. |
| Q. Where can I find the engine spec (cc, horsepower etc.)? |
|---|
These details can be found in either the instruction manual or sometimes they can be found on a rating label on the engine. |
| Q. What is a 2-stroke engine? |
|---|
This is an engine that fires on every 2nd stroke and runs on unleaded petrol with an amount of two-stroke oil mixed with it. (The oil lubricates the internal moving parts of the engine. |
| Q. How do I measure the ratios? |
|---|
The ratios of oil and petrol differ from engine to engine. The instruction manual will give the ratio to be used on the specific product. Measure the exact amounts needed. Only mix enough fuel needed per cut. (Unleaded petrol has a much shorter life than leaded, and when stored will separate from the oil and can go stale. Tecumseh and Briggs & Stratton can supply fuel stabilizers that can be added to the fuel. This will keep the fuel fresh for up to 24 months. A two stroke mixing bottle is available to buy. |
